Save Money On Telephone Services To The Incarcerated In Prison

For those who want to maintain contact with the inmates of correctional facilities, V-Connect offers inmate phone services whereby, the inmate can freely call them. It so happens that sometimes a restriction is placed on the inmate calls due to some restriction blocks from the existing telephone suppliers.

This could be because VAC, which is Value Added Communications, does not have a billing contract with the local phone provider. It could be suspended because the number of calls has exceeded the limit set by VAC with the phone company. In such situations, the ideal solution is avail of inmate phone services provided by V-Connect where you can connect with the inmates despite such restrictions.

VAC has imposed these kinds of restrictions, because many people are guilty of not paying up their debt and hence they fix a ceiling on the credit limit that you can reach for the call collect from inmates, from the particular local telephone company. After this ceiling is reached, you will be categorized as a high-end user and then you will have to open an account called the Advance Pay account offered by V-Connect.

You can easily create this account with the help of a visa card or a master card. You can also pay by means of a Money order or a Cashier's check. Even Money Grams can be wired. But the minimum amount for such payments is $25 and the maximum is $100 and they also charge you an additional service charge of $7.95 in case of credit card users. If you are paying by money order then you still have to pay a service charge but you get a refund from VAC. You can pay via the phone or even online by their web based facilities.

The charges for the calls will vary with the distance and location of your phone in relation to the detention facility. By calling their number you can even know the exact amount along with any taxes that will be charged extra. These additional charges occur because VAC has to cover the administrative costs due to V-Connect. When you make payments to V-Connect the process passes through a source and they charge VAC for the processing of the transaction.
